I just caught wind of Julia Holter
I’m still figuring out what I want to say about her music. For now though, I am impressed by her ethereal electronic soundscape experimentation. What’s great about her dreamy music is the way that she weaves her melodic voice through each wave of drone, organ, and electric fantasy. Julia Holter seems to be virtuosic and I’m excited to see where she goes with her sounds. Each exhale becomes distorted in a net of dreams and fantatical eerie thoughts. Her sound is hypnotic and eclectic. Julia Holter’s approach is unique and hazed by artistic elaborations that have me replaying her music.
