Monday’s Stellar Cowboy Classic Jam of the Day: Marty Robbins

It is quite possible that there has been no artist in the history of country and cowboy music to have lived out a more silly career than that of Marty Robbins. He wasn’t  just a country singer,he exemplified a period of american culture through country approach.  He has gone from weeping lonesome cowboy music to  getting down with Chuck Berry and Little Richard. Not many in Robbins’ class of music can claim the accomplishments and musical excursions that made up the career of Robbins. Robbins went wherever he felt, rarely following sensicle but always looking cowboy impeccable. No doubt, Robbin’s was a true lady-killer. Today’s jam is really a tribute to Robbins’ and his awesomeness.  “El Paso,” is a beautiful “gunfighter ballad” with an eternal lasting power. I’ve included the video and then his sexy man live show.
