The Minutemen have been killing it for ages and I feel like this acoustic version of “Corona” is the perfect song to get back on with life after the devastation that Sandy laid onto NYC and the East Coast. Hard hitting Watt uncharacteristically exchanges his sound for a gentler acoustic note, and bongos (unheard of)? Cross-legged and in tune in a different way. This acoustic set was released by them right after their super strong 1984 album, Double Nickels on the Dime. Hearing The Minutemen show a tender and soft side is pretty cool, I have to say.
